Eli and Romana, in some concept art for a scene from my upcoming webcomic, Dualité. Nothing gets you up in the morning like a spat with your on-again-off-again not-so-secret boyfriend, huh Romy?

This was meant to be just a sketch with flat colors, but it turned into an illustration because I wanted to test my interior drawing skills. Still not what I’d like them to be, but I’m vastly improved from the last interior shot I tried to draw for this project.

Dualité is my upcoming webcomic, a genderbent retelling of Beauty and the Beast set in early 20th century America, in which the Beauty is a man and the Beast is a woman. These two up there aren’t either of those characters, but if you need to know where they fit in the story….Romana is the story’s “Gaston.” Which I suppose means Eli is the equivalent of the Disney version’s Bimbettes, but both of them are more than their translated roles. And that’s all I’ll say.

I’m putting together a Tumblr - and eventually a website - for all my Dualité-related stuff, so I’ll be sharing that soon and reposting all my concept art!
